Feel like a kid in a….well a Chocolate Museum actually…

Not that I didn’t love Barcelona already,  but it has cemented itself in my heart forever for one reason alone. It has a chocolate museum….

Located on Carrer del Comerç, entrance is a reasonable 4.30 € for adults and there are the usual discounts for students, pensioners and so on.

Most of the exhibits are in English so you will have no trouble finding out everything about cacoa and chocolate, from seed to bar.  The museum also has a number of amazing chocolate sculptures. The museum has a number of workshops  that visitors can book, such as The route of the discovery of Cacao. They also host birthday parties… Willy Wonka eat your heart out!

Good enough to eat.....

Good enough to eat.....

The museum is run by the Confectionary Guild of Barcelona and students in theGuild’s  Patisserie School  next door are often cooking up something special when you leave the museum. Perhaps its a good idea it’s located near Park de la Ciutadella  so you can walk off the sugar low afterwards!

The museum’s website also has a link where you can apply for jobs with them. I’m first in the queue, hey no skipping!!!
